Strata Inspections (Under the SBBIS)

We undertake SBBIS inspections under the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 No 50, following the building completion of strata residential buildings over 3 storeys. As we are a Strata Building Bond (NSW) inspector (member on the Engineers Australia Strata Inspection Panel SIP), we are proposed by the developer to the strata committee for approval and in-turn notified to the Strata Bond Secretary of the Department of Fair Trading, to undertake interim and final inspections in accordance with the Act..

The idea of the inspections is to seek any visible defects that may be apparent and in-turn note and report these defects with the aim of rectification, which must be ensured upon the final inspection.

As appointed Strata Building Bond Inspector (our director & chartered structural engineer), we have the experience to peruse design documents and look for possible evidence of such construction and or design defects in addition to our general walk through visual inspections.
